Rev Troy Perry Awarded Spirit of Los Angeles Award by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa

In an enthusiastic and dynamic City Council Chambers, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa presented three awards to special honorees:

  1. Rev Troy Perry - Spirit of Los Angeles
  2. Chad Griffin - Dream of Los Angeles (for his ongoing battle for marriage equality)
  3. Wanda Sykes - Hope of Los Angeles (for her out front work in television)

In addition, numerous people were presented to the City Council for their continuing roles in improving the quality of GLBT life in Los Angeles.  There was a social gathering, followed by the presentations in City Council Chambers and closed by a rally on the South lawn of City Hall.
