San Diego Pride - July 28
Friday Night’s Rally

It was HOT!  More of the same weather we’d been experiencing all week here in Southern California.  Rev Perry actually hoped it would be a bit cooler here in San Diego, but no luck so far.

We arrived early for the pre-rally reception for speakers and guests.  There was plenty of time to meet and mingle with the other people while set up continued.

The San Diego Pride Board folks stopped by to say hello.  They were really very gracious hosts who made Rev Perry feel very welcome.

Because we were early, there was time to have some unhurried conversations.  The MC for the event,  Laura Jane, stopped by for a delightful chat beforehand.

We shared a table with Ticin and his mother.  (We found out later it was her first Pride).

 
The Honorable Stephen Padilla, the Mayor of Chula Vista visited with Rev Perry, before heading to the rally.

San Diego folk were just plain friendly!
